Plant Mom

Like many other bead workers, I’ve not felt the urge to pick up a needle in a little bit. I’ve taken some time to learn/unlearn, listen, reflect, watch, read, discuss, check on my friends, rally. It‘s such heavy work but it’s work that NEEDS to happen and keep happening. I will continue to learn/unlearn, show up, write to the government, and most importantly VOTE! That’s what we all need to do to ensure we’re taking care of one another.

I finally picked up a needle again on Sunday and every time I come back to beads after a time of reflection, mental health episode, grieving, etc. I always feel its medicine working, my mood almost instantly shifting.

I finally finished my plant mom patch. I’d seen beautiful heart and ribbon combos done by @runningfoxbeads and @lorbrand and wanted to make one of my own and this monstera leaf popped into my head and a new project was born. I must say I’ve gotten so much better from my first patch and I’m very proud of this little bb.
